What do you think of BBM’s broadcast feature? online surveys BlackBerry Messenger had yet another chain letter circulating and while it was called “spam” when it we posted it , it’s worth mentioning that it’s a simple chain letter that had no help spreading other than by BlackBerry users themselves. This isn’t the first time this has happened, but it does bring to light a grievance about BBM that I think many users can relate to: the need to update BBM’s broadcast feature. I’ve had only one or two good experiences with BBM’s broadcast feature. This is compared to the thirty or so times that I’ve been distracted and annoyed by someone on my contact list broadcasting a message about something I could care less about. Chain letters and …

BlackBerry Torch launch event highl...Here's my video recap of the AT&T BlackBerry Torch press event in New York. There were a lot of major news outlets there for their smartphone sound byte. Almost every East Coast tech blogger that I had ever seen at a BlackBerry event were in attendence. The clickity-clack of 50 macintosh-armed bloggers hummed through the tight set list of speakers who spoke with pride about what their teams had envisioned and accomplished in order to make this happen. The tech demo booths where full of (physically) tethered BlackBerry Torch devices for people to try. In the displays there was a very limited selection of accessory and hardened case offerings. The devices were willed with a barebones amount of fake information, nearly all 1st party software and an uninspired media collection. people swiped around the new BlackBerry 6 UI while chatting about the new stuff, mostly the surprisingly enjoyable mobile web browsing.
