Zo heb je connectiviteit tot WiFi en 3G en dankzij de toevoeging van een optische trackpad is de besturing ook gebruiksvriendelijk. De Pearl 3G wordt gezien als de opvolger van de BlackBerry Pearl 8120. Design BlackBerry Pearl 9100 3GZoals gezegd is de Pearl 3G 9100 een compact toestel. Het toestenbord is zogenaamd half-QWERTY. Dit betekent dat de indeling gelijk is aan een QWERTY-toetsenbord, maar dat er in dit geval gekozen is voor 2 letters per druktoets. Hierdoor blijven de afmetingen van de smartphone klein. De smartphone is verkrijgbaar in het zwart en maakt gebruik van het eigen BlackBerry besturingssysteem. Volledige internetconnectiviteit Waar de vorige Pearl-toestellen de connectiviteit met 3G misten, heeft de Pearl 3G zoals de naam al verklapt daarin een flinke stap vooruit gemaakt. Voortaan is een supersnelle, mobiele internetverbinding gegarandeerd, omdat de gebruiker de keuze heeft uit WiFi-netwerken en het 3G-netwerk.
