RIM took 5 of the 10 available spots in top selling smartphones to include BlackBerry Curve, Pearl, Bold, Storm, and Tour. I’ve been getting these reports for a while now, and I seem to recall the BlackBerry Curve...
According to an IDC report , the BlackBerry Curve, once again takes the number 1 spot for the most sold smartphone in the United States. Not only is the the BlackBerry Curve king of the hill, 4 other BlackBerry devices round out the top 10. That being said, I have to call BS on these numbers. For some strange reason IDC decided to lump all...
The BlackBerry Curve 8300 was the top selling smartphone in the US again , according to the NPD Group. RIM beat out the iPhone 3GS and 3G which came in second and third. What really drove home sales for RIM was taking the rest of the top 5 with the Tour and Storm. NPD is saying the BOGO campaigns (Buy One Get One) were largely responsible for...

The BlackBerry Storm and the BlackBerry Tour rounded out the top 5 following in the 4 and...
Back in October of 2009 I posted about a RIM Knowledge Base (KB) Article that detailed which BlackBerry devices would be compatible with OS 5.0 . Soon after that post they removed the KB for unknown reasons (maybe people were unhappy with the list), but today I found that the same KB Article is back with a few changes. The old compatibility list...
[ youtube video link for mobile viewing ] The new Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8530, or Curve2 as it has been referred to, launched on the Sprint Network last month. A solid month after the Verizon Curve 8530 launch. There was not much hype with the launch, and numerous people I have talked to weren’t too excited about it either. They have the Tour,...
IDC have announced the top selling smartphones in America and BlackBerry accounted for 5 of the top 10. While this is pretty significant, I’m sure RIM isn’t too happy about growth rates. RIM was significantly stronger than its competitors in terms of pure sales, but Apple’s growth far outpaced all others, with a unit sales increase...
There’s a semi-confirmed rumor that Verizon will discontinue the Storm 9530, Curve 8330, 8830 and Pearl Flip 8230 . We’ve heard that the Storm is on its way out, but its news to see the Curve 8330 (America’s most popular smartphone), and the Pearl Flip, a form factor that was never really given a chance, are both gone as well....
This bit of info might take some of you aback, especially if you’re reading this on a BlackBerry Bold 9700. According to a recent report released by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), the Bold 9700 tops the legal level of radiation exposure when compared to 9 other popular smartphones. New cell phones in 2010 are loaded with new features....
Something not often talked about is iPhone users migrating to BlackBerry. Customer satisfaction among iPhone users is very high. The reason for such a good score is that relatively little goes wrong with an iPhone. The iPhone is both simple and elegant in it’s software and hardware design, making for a trouble-free, and rewarding user experience....
