Open GL ES coming to BlackBerry Smartphones – Starting with Storm2 and Curve 8530

I apologize to everyone for the slow coverage of the BlackBerry Developers Conference this week. One cool thing that was announced at BB DevCon 2009 was Open GL ES coming to BlackBerry smartphones. This will allow developers to develop 3D games and graphics for BlackBerry, plus develop new interfaces for themes with the new BlackBerry Theme Studio. Open GL ES will be supported on several devices running OS 5.0, including the new Storm2, and Curve 8530. It is basically a new edition of the old Plazmic application, which has always been a very important tool for theme developers.
