It just keeps on getting better and better. I have always heard that the UN is relatively clueless and passes some ridiculous resolutions but now their Telecommunications Chief decided to comment on the whole BlackBerry encryption issue going on in India and the middle east. That wouldn’t be a bad thing if he didn’t offer such an idiotic opinion. According to the AP, Hamadoun Toure, secretary-general of the International Telecommunications...

In a nice update RIM has released version 1.2 of the BlackBerry Traffic App beta in App World’s Test Center tonight. There is no word on what the update brings in App World but I got an email from RIM Beta Zone a little earlier today saying that: We are happy to report that the version of BlackBerry Traffic referenced above (1.2) adds BlackBerry Torch support and important safety warning language.  Read More →

At this point we know what’s coming down the pike. In other words, there won’t be many surprises from RIM here on out. The Curve 9300 is already out in some places, and we know it’s coming to others in the near future. The 9760 has been nameless since its inception (hint, hint), but we know it’s coming soon enough to Verizon and Sprint. And we of course know that the Storm 3 will drop around the same …  Read More →

I recently received a message via BlackBerry Messenger from a friend who could not receive any SMS messages after her boyfriend was playing with her phone.  I was stumped, initially, and assumed he had installed some type of app the blocked messages, however, after a bit of poking around in the settings on my BlackBerry I found the issue.  My friends boyfriend inadvertently turned on SMS blocking in the BlackBerry Firewall … Many people...

We’ve heard about the rumored clamshell BlackBerry 9670 more than a few times and have even seen a video of it running BlackBerry 6.  The one thing that hasn’t been definite about this device is its brand name but a new rumor has come to light courtesy of Kevin over at CrackBerry . Apparently the brand name for the BlackBerry 9670 will be the “Style”. I guess RIM’s Pearl Flip line wasn’t doing too well so...
